SPRING ARBOR, MI - The #9 Lancer men's basketball team closed out their pre-season schedule with a weekend split at the Spring Arbor Tournament hosted by NAIA's Spring Arbor University in Michigan.
Windsor opened the tournament against Lourdes University and came away with a 74-63 win, as a solid defensive effort set the tone for the evening. On offense the Lancers were led by
Enrico Diloreto's 22 points, and was followed by a balanced attack from the rest of the team.
In game two, the Lancers faced the host Spring Arbor University and fell 91-82. In the loss, the game was back and forth and close throughout until Spring Arbour pulled away late.
Enrico Diloreto had 20 points, followed by
Josh Collins with 16 and
Lien Phillip with 14.
The Lancers head into the regular season with an overall 9-3 regular season record.
Windsor will host the #1 ranked Carleton Ravens on Friday night and the Ottawa Gee Gees on Saturday. Both games are at 8:00pm at the St. Denis Centre.
