The Windsor Lancers Women's Hockey team will start the OUA playoffs on the road on Thursday night when they travel to Guelph to battle the Gryphons in game one of their three-game series.
The Lancers will return home on Saturday afternoon when they host game two at 4:10pm at South Windsor Arena.
Coach Hunter's squad wrapped up the regular season portion of their schedule on Sunday with a 5-1 victory over the York Lions in Toronto. The Lancers got goals from
Jenny MacKnight,
Candace Rapchak,
Manon Davis,
Stephanie Hebert and
Courtney Spoors in the victory.
The Lancers finished the regular season with a 12-12-2 record and tied for sixth place in the conference.
Offensively, Windsor has been led by the duo of
Courtney Spoors and
Candace Rapchak. Spoors finished in the top 20 in the CIS in scoring with 12 goals and 28 points in 26 games. Rapchak also had a strong season finishing with 10 goals and 25 points on the year.
