Men's Volleyball clinches home playoff berth for third straight year

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lancer men's volleyball team clinched a home playoff berth for the third straight year on Sunday with a fourth place finish overall in the OUA standings.

Windsor finished the season with an 11-7 record, and will face the Waterloo Warriors in the OUA quarter-finals on Saturday February 18th. The Warriors also finished 11-7, but the Lancers hold the tie-breaker placing them above the Warriors in the standings.

The Lancers closed out the season splitting their final two games on the road over the weekend.

On Saturday, Windsor swept the RMC Paladins 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-19). It was a balanced attack with Timothee Jaumel leading the way with 12 points and 8 kills.

On Sunday, the Lancers closed out the regular season with a 3-0 (14-25, 20-25, 14-25) loss to the Queen's Gaels. Kyle Williamson had 16 points on 16 kills and 5 digs in the loss.

The OUA quarter-final will take place on Saturday february 18th at the St. Denis Centre. Stay tuned to www.goLancers.ca for game time and ticket information as it becomes available.
