The No. 8 Windsor Lancers men's basketball team will look to maintain its place at the top of the OUA West division as they open the second half of their season tomorrow night at the St. Denis Centre when they host the Laurier Golden Hawks at 8:00pm.

The Lancers (5-2) are coming off a 74-64 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene in holiday exhibition action on December 28 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. The game saw the Lancers play a balanced attack, with 10 players getting over 10 minutes of playing time. Conference all-star
Lien Phillip led the team with 16 points and 9 rebounds, while
Evan Matthews had 11 points and
Michael Petrella had 10.
Currently, Windsor holds the only winning record in the West and closed out the first half of the season with a dominating 118-82 win over the Queen's Gaels in Kingston.
The Laurier Golden Hawks (2-5) come into Thursday's contest on a five game losing streak that includes two losses over the holiday break. The Hawks closing out 2012 with three regular season losses to Laurentian, Ottawa, and Carleton before going 0-2 at the Daeman College Classic in Amherst, New York.
Windsor's defense will need to keep an eye on the Golden Hawks' star guard, OUA leading scorer Max Allin. The Chatham, ON native is averaging 23.7 points per game and 11.4 rebounds per game, in 35.9 minutes played.
The Lancers have a more balanced attack and are led by Phillip with 14.1 points per game.
