Lancers lose two-straight to Queen's

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 KINGSTON, Ont.- The Windsor Lancers men's hockey team lost both their games this past weekend to the Queen's Gaels, falling 3-0 on Friday evening and following that with a 4-1 defeat on Saturday night.

It was the first time in conference play this season that Windsor has lost two-straight games, and the men drop to 9-4-0 as a result, but still hold down third-place in the OUA West division. The Gaels (8-0-5) sit atop the OUA East, and have taken points in every game they have played thus far in the regular season, remaining the only team in the conference without a regulation loss.

Spencer Pommells tallied Windsor's lone goal of the weekend, his sixth of the season, that tied Saturday's contest 1-1 in the opening period on Saturday. However, the Gaels scored three unanswered to take a stranglehold on the match and earn their second win of the weekend.

The men will look to get back in the win column next weekend when they continue their road trip. Windsor will head to London, Ont. to take on the rival Western Mustangs on Friday evening, and close out the weekend on Saturday night against Brock in St. Catharines.

The Lancers will host the Mustangs at Comerica Park on the evening of December 16 in their finaly conference game before the holiday break.
