Mackenzie Coyle and
Kaila Seguin each recorded 12 kills while sophomore
Shannon Dean notched a team-high 17.5 points, and the Windsor Lancers women's volleyball team won their fourth straight game, defeating the Brock Badgers 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-16, 25-19) on Sunday afternoon.
Dean, a member of last year's conference all-rookie team, was potent against the Badgers, garnering a 52.9% kill percentage, totalling 11 kills and committing just two errors while garnering 3.5 blocks and three aces, also a team-best.
Coyle grabbed a game-high 24 digs and Seguin added an ace and three blocks for Windsor.
Danielle Lenarduzzi picked up 29 assists, while libero
Hannah Robson dug out 19 balls for the Lancers, who move to 4-2 on the season and sit atop the OUA West division after this weekend's matches.
Shenise Power recorded a game-high 13 kills and 19 points in a losing cause for Brock (2-3), who dip under the .500 mark and sit fourth in the division.Â
The Lancers continue their road trip over the next two weekends. Next Saturday, the women will head to Ottawa to take on the Gee-Gees with the game getting underway at 2:00 p.m. Windsor will then travel to Western on Friday, November 15 to play the rival Mustangs before beginning a two-game home-stand on November 23 and 24 against Brock and Guelph respectively.
