Women's Hockey honours seniors; falls to Queen's

Box Score In their final regular season home game, the Lancer women's hockey team lost to the Queen's Gaels 3-0 on Breast Cancer Awareness Day and Senior's Day.
 
Prior to the game, the Lancers honoured their graduating seniors Alyssa Baldin, Krysten Bortolotti, Lindsay Hoogstraten, Kassandra Paone, Ally Strickland, and Kiely Barnett.
 
Heading into the final weekend of the regular season, Windsor is 12-9-3 on the year and sit in sixth in the OUA standings. The Lancers will face UOIT and York in their final two games on the road.
 
The Gaels outshot the Lancers 9-7 in the first period with both teams putting up a number of scoring opportunities. Queen's opened the game's scoring in the second period with a power play goal at 15:10.
 
The score remained unchanged until the third when the Gaels took a two goal lead at 6:17. They added an empty net goal with less than three minutes remaining.
 
Windsor had a number of scoring opportunities throughout the game, but were unable to get past Gaels goaltender Mel Dod-Mohr.
 
Lancer goaltender Karlyle Robinson made 21 saves in the loss.
