Women's Volleyball opens season with pair of losses

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lancer women's volleyball team opened the 2014-15 season with a pair of road loss to the McMaster Marauders and Brock Badgers.
 
Windsor fell 3-0 (23-25, 9-25, 12-25) to the reigning OUA champions on Saturday night and 3-1 (22-25, 25-19, 17-25, 24-26) to the Badgers on Sunday afternoon.
 
Against the Marauders, the Lancers were led by Emily McClosky with 6 kills and 7 points, while rookie Cori Sears had an impressive game contributing 6 kills as well and 6.5 points. Defensively, Emily Durant had 9 digs for the Blue & Gold.
 
On Sunday, the Lancers were led by Hannah Robson who had a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs, and Shannon Dean with 9 kills and 4 aces.
 
Windsor will take their second road trip of the season next weekend when they travel to Kingston to face the Queen's Gaels and RMC Paladins. The Lancers will play their first game at home on Halloween when they host the Guelph Gryphons at 6:00pm at the St. Denis Centre.
