No. 6 Lancers rebound to defeat Lions

Box Score A goal in each period lifted the Lancer men's hockey team over the York Lions 3-1 on Friday night in Toronto, ON.
 
Windsor is now 14-1-1 on the year and continues to remain atop the OUA standings, while the Lions fall to 6-11-0 as they head into the holiday break.
 
JC Houde scored his first OUA career goal just 56 seconds into this contest to put the Lancers up early.
 
York retaliated with their lone goal at 16:56 with a power play goal from Michael Santini to knot the game at one heading into the second period.
 
After a close middle frame, Windsor's Dylan Denomme gave Windsor a one goal lead at 19:47 of the period. Blake Blondeel scored the team's insurance marker at 6:21 of the third to help secure the win.
 
The Lions pulled their goaltender in favour of the extra attacker, but Lancer goaltender Taylor Speed held strong in net registering 24 saves for the win.
 
Windsor will close out the fall semester on Wednesday December 3rd when they host the Western Mustangs at 7:30pm at South Windsor Arena. The game can be seen live at www.oua.tv and will also be broadcast on CJAM 99.1FM.
