The Lancer women's soccer team closed out the regular season with a 1-0 loss to the No. 7 Western Mustangs on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Field.Â
Windsor finishes the season with a 6-9-1 record to finish fifth overall in the OUA west division, while the Mustangs conclude the year with an 11-2-3 record to place second overeall in the division. The Lancers will now travel to Hamilton to take on the McMaster Marauders in the OUA First Round this Wednesday, October 28th.
After a scoreless first half, the Mustangs Amanda Boyle scored the game's lone goal in the 65th minute to give Western the lead and the eventual win.

Krystin Lawrence made six saves in net for the Blue & Gold, while Tori Edgar stopped all five shots sent in her direction for the Mustangs.Â
The Lancers will look to stay alive in the post season in the first round of the OUA playoffs this Wednesday against the McMaster Marauders in Hamilton. Kick-off is set for 6:00pm.
