The Lancer men's hockey team remains atop the OUA west division standings after sweeping the RMC Paladins in a weekend series this past weekend in Kingston, ON.
 
The Lancers (6-1-1) dominated the Paladins in both games defeated them 7-3 on Friday night and 6-2 on Saturday to stay one point ahead of the Western Mustangs in the standings. The Paladins fall to 1-7-1 on the year and sit in last place in the east division.
 
On Friday, Windsor continued to show their diversity with six players finding the back of the net. Tyson Ness led the way with a pair of goals, while goaltender Michael Doan made 30 saves in net to earn the victory.
 
The first period remained scoreless until the Lancers opened the flood gates eleven minutes into the frame scoring three goals over a six minute time span and lead 3-1 heading into the second period.
 
In the middle frame, the Lancers scored another three goals from Michael Christou, Tyson Ness, and Kyle Hope to lead 6-1 after forty minutes of play. The Paladins opened the third with a pair of goals before Ness registered his second of the game to secure the 7-3 win.
 
On Saturday, rookie Brennan Feasey led the way for the Blue & Gold registering his first OUA career hat-trick as the Lancers earned a 6-2 win over the hosts. Other Lancer goal scorers included Tyson Ness, Kenny Bradford, and Paul Bezzo.
 
Special teams played a key factor in the win as the Lancers scored three of their six markers with the extra man, while Blake Richard made 31 saves in net to earn the win.
 
The Lancers will now host the Laurentian Voyageurs for a weekend series at South Windsor Arena. The puck will drop at 7:30pm on Friday November 6th, and at 4:00p on Saturday November 7th. Both games can be seen live on oua.tv.
