For the third straight game the Lancer men's hockey team let a third period slip away as they fell 3-2 to the Brock Badgers on Friday night in St. Catharine's.

Windsor drops to 6-4-1 on the season, while the Badgers improve to 5-3-3 and are tied with the Lancers for third place in the OUA west division.

After a scoreless first period, the Badgers got on the board first, 1:57 into the second period, as Chris Maniccia and Skylar Pacheco set up Mitch Nardi for the power of play goal.

Midway through the second period, the Lancers
Ryan Green beat Brock starting goaltender Clint Windsor tying the game 1-1. With less than five minutes left in the second,
Kyle Hope and
Chris Scott found
Tyler Morrison who registered his first goal of the season to give Windsor a 2-1 lead.

The Badgers would add another power play marker, 8:12 into the third period, as Sammy Banga beat Lancer starter
Michael Doan to tie the game 2-2. Maniccia and Jake Cardwell added the assists.

With 3:35 remaining in the third period, Brock's Pacheco took a cross ice pass from Maniccia and one-timed it past Doan for the 3-2 lead. Cardwell also added his second assist of the night.

In goal, Doan collected 25 saves in the loss while Windsor recorded 35 saves for the victory.

The Lancers will now head to the GTA and take on the York Lions Saturday night at 7:00pm.Â
