The No. 10 Lancer women's basketball team dominated the visiting Toronto Varsity Blues 96-60 on Saturday afternoon at the St. Denis Centre.

With the win, the Lancers are now 4-1 on the season and continue to hold on to first place in the OUA west division, while the Blues fall to 1-3 and sit in third in the east.

With the Lancers leading 26-14 after the first quarter of play, the Blues went on a 7-0 run to open the second and make it a five point game. The visitors outscored the Lancers 20-16 in the second quarter playing a strong defensive game and the Lancers only led by 42-34 at the break.

Although the Blues applied some heavy back court pressure to open the second half, the Lancers fought back and held the Blues to just eight points. From there, the Lancers dominated the floor building a 38 point lead with just over a minute to go in regulation, en route to their dominating win.

Carly Steer led the Blue & Gold with 16 points, while
Emily Prevost recorded yet another double-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds and
Andrea Kiss had 14 points, 9 rebounds.
