The Lancer Football team got off to a rough start with a 76-7 loss to the Western Mustangs on Sunday at Alumni Field.
Windsor is now 0-1 to open the 2015 season and will head to Toronto on Labour Day to face the Varsity Blues at 7:00pm (live on www.oua.tv).
The visiting Mustangs built a 10-0 lead just two minutes into the game and held the Blue & Gold off of the scoreboard until early in the fourth quarter.
Tarrence Crawford scored the Lancers lone touchdown at 2:30 of the fourth quarter. Crawford led the Lancers on the ground with 73 yards and a TD, while kicker
Anthony Malandruccolo finished the day with 444 punting yards.
For the Mustangs, Alex Taylor led the visitors ground attack with 144 yards and one touchdown, while receiver Matt Uren finished with 104 yards and a touchdown.
