Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer falls to Hawks & Warriors

The Lancer men's soccer team dropped their final two home games of the regular season over the weekend at Alumni Field.

Windsor fell to the Laurier Golden Hawks 3-1 on Friday night before falling to the Waterloo Warriors 4-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The losses currently put Windsor in the final playoff spot in the west division with a 4-6-4 record.

On Friday, Carlos Soares got the Lancers on the board in the 15th minute to give the Lancers a one goal lead heading into the half. The Hawks, however, came out flying in the second half scoring three unanswered goals to take the game.

Windsor once again took a one goal lead in the first half against the Warriors on Sunday. Iyowuna Jumbo out the Lancers up 1-0 in the 31st minute.

Waterloo, however, scored four goals in the second half to earn the win and steal some very important points for the Lancers in the OUA west division standings.

The Lancers will close out the regular season next weekend on the road. They will face the York Lions on Saturday October 22nd at 3:15pm before heading over to Guelph for a Sunday afternoon tilt, also scheduled for 3:15pm.
