The Lancer men's soccer team came away with a couple of points following a pair of ties on the road against the Brock Badgers and McMaster Marauders.
 
Windsor came away with a 2-2 draw against the Badgers before coming from behind to earn a 1-1 tie against the Marauders on Sunday. In their previous meetings earlier this year, the Lancers drew another tie against the Badgers, while falling 1-0 to the Marauders in their second game of the season. 
 
The Blue & Gold are now 3-4-4 on the year and currently sit in 6th place in the OUA west division.
 
In the opening five minutes against Brock, the Badgers had an opportunity to score when Arsen Platis rattled one off the crossbar keeping the score deadlocked 0-0.
 
Brock defender Daliso Chulu opened the scoring in the 19th minute with his first goal of the season.
 
Windsor emerged in the 55th minute when Kyle Ruggaber scored his second goal of the campaign.
 
Malike Ngoi reclaimed the lead in the 71st minute when he beat Windsor goaltender Kyle Vizirakis for his first goal of the season.
 
Windsor's leading scorer Iyowuna Jumbo tied up the match in the 85th minute with his 5th goal of the season.
 
Vizirakis recorded three saves while Brock starter Matt Zaikos collected four saves in a tie.
 
On Sunday, McMaster's Yunus Mollayev played Dusan Kovacevic through for the game's first quality chance in the 16th minute, but the striker's hard, low drive was well saved and cleared by Vizirakis.
 
The Lancers applied some pressure of their own, and nearly snatched the opening goal in the 28th minute, when a dangerous set piece bounced through the Marauders box and tagged Kieran Doyle-Davis' crossbar, before the Lancers were whistled for a foul in the box.
 
Marauder Shawn Faustino enjoyed a chance of his own in the 35th, but latched on to the through ball just a split second too late, and saw his tapped effort smothered by Vizirakis.
 
Scoreless at the half, the game didn't lack for entertainment, and that trend carried into the second 45.
 
After the midfield battle dominated the opening minutes of the second half, McMaster was rewarded for a period of pressure with a grievous error from Vizirakis. Looking to jumpstart the counter, his ball fell instead to Mollayev, who quickly squared to shoot and caught the keeper before he could scramble into position, giving Mac a 1-0 lead in the 73rd minute.
 
Having gained the lead, the Marauders put numbers behind the ball as the Lancers probed for an equalizer, and were ultimately caught out.
 
A hash of a clearance from the corner allowed Windsor to launch the ball back into the McMaster box in the dying moments of the match, where it caught a Marauder defender on the arm and triggered a last-ditch penalty.
 
Jumbo made no mistake from the spot, wrong-footing Doyle-Davis to level the match in the 86th minute.
 
Windsor only has one game this week, hosting the Western Mustangs on Friday October 7th at 8:15pm at Alumni Field.
