A goal from Federico Ferrari early in the game would be the only of the evening, giving the Windsor Lancers a 1-0 win over the Western Mustangs Friday evening at Alumni Field.

The win evens out the Lancer record at 4-4-4 as they sit in sixth place in the OUA west division, while the loss gives Western a 5-3-4 record as they sit in third.

Lancer netminder
Kyle Vizirakis earned his third shutout of the season facing only two shots on goal throughout the contest. Meanwhile, Western goaltender Kody Thomson saw plenty of action facing 10 shots, including three on goal.

Ferrari's goal came just one minute and 35 seconds into the first half, giving the Lancers all the momentum they needed to hold off the Mustangs for the rest of the game.

Following a Thanksgiving break, the Lancers will prepare for their final pair of home games next weekend at Alumni Field. Windsor will host the Laurier Golden Hawks on Friday night at 8:15pm, before honouring their graduating seniors on Sunday October 16th prior to their game against the Waterloo Warriors at 3:15pm.
