The Lakers outshot the Lancers 38-22 and built up a 3-0 lead before the Blue & Gold spoiled Jacqueline Rochefort's shut-out. With just two minutes remaining in regulation, Danielle Butler scored her first goal of the season to put the Lancers on the board.

Morgan Farrow made 35 saves in net in the loss.

On Saturday, Shawna Lesperance opened the scoring just 0:33 seconds into the game to give the Lancers a one goal lead.

However, before the period was out, Laurentian's special teams came alive scoring a shorthanded and power play goal to take a 2-1 lead heading into the second.

In the middle frame, Krystin Lawrence tied it up a minute and a half into the second. The score remained deadlocked for only four minutes, however, when the hosts replied with three goals of their own over the rest of the game to earn the 5-2 win.

Molly Jenkins and Farrow shared the goaltending duties and made 23 saves between the two of them.

Windsor returns home next weekend to host the Laurier Golden Hawks and Waterloo Warriors. Both games are scheduled for 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday nights, respectively, at South Windsor Arena. Saturday's game is also the highlighted feature event of the 2016 Hocktoberfest International Girls Hockey tournament.
