Box Score On Saturday night at South Windsor Arena the University of Windsor Lancers women's hockey team came away with a 3-2 victory over the Waterloo Warriors.
 
With the win the Lancers are now 2-0-3-1, while the Warriors move to 2-1-2-0 on the year.
 
The first period was very quiet with no scoring for either team, but early on in the second Krystin Lawerence struck on the power play to net her third of the weekend and give the Lancers a 1-0 lead.
 
Five minutes later the Warriors Michelle Tanel tied the score at one, with assists being credited to Rachel Marriot and Carolyn Burke.
 
The red light lit up again for the visitors when Marissa Redmond put Waterloo on top at 10:54 of the frame. The Lancers didn't back down, however, when captain Jillian Rops tied the game on a breakaway with a top corner shot at 14:59.
 
Rookie Kennedy Snively made her mark for the Blue & Gold in the third period, scoring her first OUA career goal at 8:15 and giving the Lancers a 3-2 lead. Ashley Maitre and Gina Davis were given the assists.
 
Morgan Farrow earned the win in net for Windsor stopping 22 shots that came her way. Stephanie Sluys was also busy in net for the visitors stopping 28 Lancers shots that came her way.
 
The Lancers are back in action next weekend In Toronto when they face the Ryerson Rams and Toronto Varsity Blues. Both games can be seen live on www.oua.tv.
