In a rare Friday afternoon game, the Lancer Football team fell to the host Carleton Ravens 53-10 in Ottawa.

With the loss, the Lancers are now 2-4 on the year and are tied for the final playoff spot with three other teams. The Ravens improve to 5-2 on the year and are tied for first with Laurier and Western.

Windsor quarterback Casey Wright went 12-for-23 and 117 yards, while Tarrence Crawford led the Lancer rushers with 123 yards on 22 carries, while also leading the way in the air with five receptions for 41 yards. Lancer kicker Clark Green was busy for the Blue & Gold scoring 9 of the Lancers 10 points going 3-for-3 in field goals.

A safety and a pair of rouges opened the scoring early in the first quarter to give the Ravens a 4-0 lead.

After recovering a Carleton fumble at the end of the first quarter, Green kicked his first of three field goals on the day with a 25-yard kick to bring the Lancers within one.

On their next drive, Windsor drove 75-yards and kicked the ball through the endzone to tie the game at four with 12 minutes to go in the half.

Carleton drove their own 75-yards into the endzone before the Lancers retailed again with another field goal. This time Green went 37-yards through the up rights to make the score 11-7.

The Ravens would add a three more touchdowns before the Lancers would get back on their board. Clark added another 20-yards to his daily tally for Windsor's final score of the game.

In the fourth, the hosts would add three touchdowns, a field goal and a rouge to secure the victory.
