The Lancer men's basketball team rebounded after a tough loss and dominated the Lakehead Thunderwolves to win 83-69 on Saturday night in Thunder Bay, ON.
The win moves the Lancers to 2-2 on the season, while the Thunderwolves fall to 1-4 on the year.
GAME FLOW
Windsor came out strong taking the lead early on, but the 'Wolves bounced back, keeping it close throughout the remainder of the first quarter. Windsor finished the quarter with a one point lead, 20-19.
Lakehead came out strong in the second quarter hitting two back to back threes putting the 'Wolves ahead. However, Windsor took back the lead and made some big shots nearing the end of the quarter, putting themselves up 43-35 at the half.
Windsor quickly put themselves up 15 in the first few minutes and scored 21 points compared to Lakeheads 9 during the quarter. The Lancers held a strong twenty point lead heading into the fourth, 64-44.
Lakehead outscored Windsor 25-19 in the final quarter, however Windsor continued to lead by 14 or more points.
Micqueel Martin led the Lancers with 27 points and 9 rebounds, while
Mike Rocca finished the game with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Bacarius Dinkins lead the Thunderwolves with 16 points, 10 rebounds.
