In their second home game of the regular season, the Lancer men's basketball team came out on top 94-78 over the visiting Waterloo Warriors on Wednesday night at the St. Denis Centre.

The second straight win moves the Lancers to 3-2 on the year and into a tie with Laurier for first place in the OUA west division. Meanwhile, the Warriors are still looking for their first win of the year falling to 0-4 on the season.

The Warriors came out strong in the first half to challenge the Lancers on both ends of the court. Windsor held a 41-32 lead at the half, but the visitors continued to challenge the Blue & Gold for the entire forty minutes. The Lancers narrowly out-rebounded the Warriors 36-35, and shot 46.6% from the field compared to Waterloo's 45%.

Micqueel Martin led all players with 24 points, while
Anthony Zrvnar had a season high 17 points in the win. Fourth year senior
Tyler Persaud also hit double digits with 12.

For the visitors, Ben Davis came off the bench to lead the Black & Gold with 19 points, while Mike Pereira had the games only double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Also scoring double digits for Waterloo were Nedim Hodzic with 15, and Simon Petrov and Justin Hardy with 10 apiece.
