A strong third quarter led the No. 5 Lancer women's basketball team to a 74-62 win over the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Sunday afternoon in Thunder Bay.

Windsor remains undefeated with a 4-0 record, and are in a three way tie for first place in the OUA west division.

GAME FLOW
Leading 20-16 after the first quarter, Windsor started the second quarter with a 9-0 run. The 'Wolves were able to bring the game within 5 but a few easy layups restored their lead heading into halftime, 36-27.

Lakehead fought back in the third quarter making it a 4-point game but the Lancers answered back with a 14-0 run, hitting 3 back to back three pointers that put them up 59-41 at the end of the third.

Lakehead outscored Windsor 21-15 in the fourth quarter, but the Lancers were able to hold off on the Thunderwolves comeback and earn the 74-62 win.
Carly Steer came off the bench to lead the Blue & Gold with 16 points, while
Cheyanne Roger and
Kayah Clarke had 14 points each and
Emily Prevost had 12 points.Â
