The Lancer men's basketball team closed out 2016 with an 84-64 loss to the Ryerson Rams on Saturday afternoon at the Mattamy Athletic Complex in Toronto.

The loss moves Windsor to 4-4 heading into the holiday break, while the Rams remain undefeated with a 7-0 record.

The Rams jumped out to a quick 21-11 after ten minutes but Windsor headed up from the field and kept the game within striking distance at 42-33 at the half.

Ryerson came out strong in the third quarter, doubling up on the Lancers output to take a hold of the game heading into the fourth.

Windsor shot just 28.8% from the field, compared to the Rams 40% while also committing 21 turnovers that results in 17 Ryerson points.

Mike Rocca led the way for the Blue & Gold with 16 points and 8 rebounds.
Luke Allin finished the game with 12 points, 5 rebounds while
Randy Oriakhi chipped in 11.
Windsor will now break for the holidays and return to action on Friday January 6th when they host the York Lions at the St. Denis Centre. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00pm and can be seen live on
