In their second last weekend of competition in the regular season, the Lancer women's volleyball team split a pair of road games in Thunder Bay against the Lakehead Thunderwolves.

On Saturday afternoon, the Lancers came into town and swept the host T-wolves 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-18) before falling in three straight sets (20-25, 23-25, 26-28) on Sunday.

With the split, the Lancers are 11-6 on the year and sit comfortably in third place in the OUA west division. Meanwhile, the Thunderwolves are 6-13 on the year and finish the season in fifth place.

In their first game of the weekend, the Lancers were ahead for most of the day and were led by
Shannon Dean with 11 kills on 16 swings and 14 points.

On Sunday the teams battled point for point throughout the entire match, with the hosts coming out on top in each set. Dean led the way once again for Windsor, this time with 10 kills for 12 points.

Windsor will close out the regular season next weekend with pair of games against the Ryerson Rams and Toronto Varsity Blues in the GTA.Â
