The Lancer women's volleyball team defeat the visiting Nipissing Lakers 3-1 (25-21, 25-16, 20-25, 25-19) on Saturday afternoon at the St. Denis Centre as part of the Lancer Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend.
With the win, Windsor continues to remain in third place in the OUA west division with a 9-5 record, while the Lakers fall to 2-13 and sit in sixth in the east division.
The Lancers were led by
Shannon Dean with 16 kills and 18.5 points, while
Emily McCloskey had 9 kills for 12.5 points and Jade Zeibarth with 10 kills for 10.5 points.
Windsor will take to the court on Sunday afternoon for their final regular season home game when they host the York Lions at 1:00pm. Prior to the game, the Lancers will honour their graduating seniors,
Shannon Dean,
Emily Durand, and
Lauren Stirling.
