The Lancer women's basketball team defeated the Nipissing Lakers 74-40 as part of the Lancers 10th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Day at the St. Denis Centre on Saturday.
 
The victory was the Lancers fourth straight and improved their record to 11-4 to sit in second place in the west division, while the Lakers fall to 2-12 and are in last place in the north division.
 
Emily Prevost had another solid night on the court for the Blue & Gold, registering her fourth straight double-double with a game high 20 points and 10 rebounds. Cheyanne Roger contributed 14 points in the victory.
 
The Lancers scored 26 points off of the visitors 31 total turnovers, which turned out to be the deciding factor as the teams were relatively similar in all other statistical categories.
 
Windsor will now travel to Toronto to face the York Lions on Friday February 12th at 6:00pm.
