The Lancers are still looking for their first win of the season following a 2-0 loss to the Western Mustangs Wednesday night in London.

Heading into a ten day break from competition, Windsor is 0-2-1 on the season and tied with the Brock Badgers.

The Lancers had the best scoring chance of the first 20 minutes, after a cross to
Jamar Redhead was headed toward the Mustangs net before it was blocked in front and cleared.

Western broke the deadlock late in the first half, when they sent a cross across the box, where Braeden Gee headed the ball off the far post and into the back of the Lancers net to give Western a 1-0 lead.

With the Mustangs controlling much of the play in the first, the action was more even in the second half, with the Mustangs only holding a 4-3 edge in shots over the Lancers.

Neither team was able to solve the other throughout the half until the 86th minute when Parker Seymour corralled a long pass, moved past a Windsor defender and slid the ball past Lancer keeper
Kyle Vizirakis and into the net to give Western a 2-0 win.

The Lancers now head to Sault Ste. Marie, ON on September 10 & 11 to face the Algoma Thunderbirds.
