The Lancer men's hockey team fell 3-1 to the Toronto Varsity Blues on Friday night at Varsity Arena.
Â
Windsor opened the scoring in the first with a goal from second-year
Tyson Ness just 90 seconds into the Friday night showdown.
Â
Eight minutes into the first period and on a power play, Blues defenseman Willy Paul took a shot from the blue line which Dean Klomp deflected past Lancers goaltender
Kris Joyce to even the score.Â
Â
Just under two minutes into the third period, U of T forward Casey Knight scored what would be the game-winner off a behind the net pass from Ryan Kirkup to put Toronto up 2-1.
Â
Then with only thirty seconds left in the contest, Aidan Wallace scored an empty net goal to secure the win for the hosts.Â
Â
Windsor will now cross the street and take on the Ryerson Rams on Saturday in an afternoon matinee at 2:15pm at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. The game can be viewed online at
