For just the third time this season, the Lancer women's basketball team found themselves on the losing side of the score. On Friday at the St. Denis Centre, the No. 6 Lancers fell 70-59 to the No. 5 Carleton Ravens.
Windsor remains in first place in the west division with a 12-3 record, while the Ravens continue their winning ways earning their twelfth victory in a row to sit atop the north division standings.
For the third straight game,
Emily Prevost had the games only double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds for her sixth of the season. Offensively, rookie
Kayah Clarke led the way for the Blue & Gold with 18 points, while
Cheyanne Roger chipped in 13, and
Carly Steer came off the bench to contribute 11.
Carleton's Catherine Traer led all scorers with 19 points, while Cynthia Dupont had 15 points and Nicole Gilmore had 13 points.
Windsor will take to the court again tomorrow night as part of the Lancers 10th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Tip-off against the Ottawa Gee Gees is set for 6:00pm at the St. Denis Centre.
