The Lancer women's volleyball team split their weekend series in Thunder Bay against the Lakehead Thunderwolves.
Windsor won their second straight game in a 3-2 (13-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-16, 15-11) come from behind victory on Friday night before falling in three straight set (22-25, 15-25, 16-25) on Saturday evening.
Windsor is now 2-2 on the year, while the Thunderwolves move to 2-3.
FRIDAY
After falling behind two sets to none, it was do or die for the Blue & Gold. Thanks to some stellar teamwork and a number of excellent rallies, the Lancers clawed their way back to send the game into five sets and earn the well-deserved road victory.
Rookie
Paige Phills once again led the way for the Lancers with 15 points on 14 kills and 10 digs.
Jade Zeibarth also hit double digits in points with 12 and added 7 kills in the win. Defensively,
Carleigh Bailey led the way with a game high 28 digs.
SATURDAY
Windsor went down early in the first set and were unable to recover during the entire match, allowing the Thunderwolves to rebound from Friday night and earn the quick three set win.
Emily McCloskey led the way for the Lancers with 10 points on 10 kills, while Phills had 8 points. Defensively, Bailey led the way again for the Blue & Gold with 15 digs.

Windsor will head to the St. Denis Centre for their first set of games on home court for the 2017-18 season next weekend. They will host the McMaster Marauders on Saturday November 11th, and the Brock Badgers on Sunday November 12th. Both games are scheduled for 1:00pm and can be seen live at
