WINDSOR - Head coach Frank Jeney and the University of Windsor baseball program have named its 2017-18 team captains. 
 
Fourth year Rob Csapo (Windsor, ON), third year athletes Adam Pickel (Windsor, ON), and Jack Zimmerman (Tecumseh, ON), and second year Chris Rinaldi Ross (Tecumseh, ON) all earned the accolade.
 
The Lancer captains are chosen through a two-step process that includes a full team closed ballot vote, and a professional interview with the entire coaching staff.
 
"Leadership is the most important focal point of our program," said Jeney. "This group of young men not only had an impressive resume of accomplishments on and off the field, they had nearly all possible votes for the leadership role, which is an strong indication of the kind of people they are, and how they were brought up.  Collectively, they have 11 years at the University of Windsor, and their individual leadership capabilities are vast and diverse, giving our program a more well-rounded approach to success."
 
Windsor opens their season on September 15th at Macomb Community College.
