Battling through injuries, the Lancer men's soccer team earned their first point of the season as part of a road trip to the Niagara region Saturday.

The Blue & Gold came away with a 1-1 draw against the Brock Badgers on Saturday afternoon before falling to the host McMaster Marauders 4-1.

Windsor is now 0-1-3 and still looking for their first win of the year as they head into a double header weekend against the Algoma Thunderbirds.

Saturday @ Brock
After Brock managed to find the back of the net in the 33rd minute, the Lancers quickly responded in the 37th minute off a
Celso Carapau penalty shot.

A physical game set up numerous counterattacks but the game remained tied until the 90th minute, where Brock unlocked Windsor's defense and took the lead 2-1.

The relentless Lancers found themselves in a great scoring opportunity outside the box with minutes left in the game.
Celso Carapau froze the keeper as his free kick bent around the wall and into the back of the net for his second of the game.

Sunday @ McMaster
The Lancers battled with McMaster, but failed to initiate much offense and had some defensive mistakes which lead to a 4-1 loss Sunday afternoon.

Kyle Ruggaber scored the lone goal for the Lancers in the 18th minute off a solid passing combination through the middle of the field. McMaster proved to be too much for the Lancers as they pushed the agenda on offense. The men had nine less shots then their opposition and only managed to earn two corners.

Up Next
The Lancers will host the Algoma Thunderbirds next weekend at Alumni Field. Both games are scheduled for 3:15pm on Saturday September 9th & Sunday September 10th.
