The Lancer men's hockey team took the Waterloo Warriors with ease, coming out with a 7-0 win on Breast Cancer Awareness Day at the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex.

This win puts Windsor at 5-3 on the season, sitting in fifth place in the OUA West.

The Lancers came out strong, putting heavy pressure on the Waterloo defense. The Warriors struggled against Windsor's speed, and were forced to resort to taking penalties.

The blue and gold had four power play opportunities, capitalizing for their first goal as
John Wesley found the back of the net to start the scoring off. The Lancers kept applying the pressure, but it was
Kyle Hope who put the next point on the board, putting Windsor up by two to end the first.

Windsor continued their dominant play throughout the second period, with
Dan Beaudoin scoring another goal for the blue and gold halfway through the period. Beginning to scramble, the Warriors took a high sticking penalty in the closing minutes of the second, putting Windsor back on the power play. This time it was
Alex Friesen putting the puck past the Waterloo goaltender, putting the Lancers up by four.

The Lancers showed no signs of letting up in the third period, scoring another goal in the first minute.
Coy Prevost put a goal of his own on the board for the Lancers, shorthanded hallway through the period.

Tensions rose between the two teams, as the Warriors showed their frustration as a scuffle broke out in the closing minutes of the game, refuting in both teams sending two players to the box. The Lancers found the back of the net yet again with
Ryan Taylor scored to end the game 7-0 for the Lancers.
