Brooks busy in net; Lancers spend weekend in Waterloo

The Lancer women's soccer team hit the city of Waterloo for a pair of road games. They fell 1-0 to the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday before coming away with a 1-1 draw with the Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday.
 
Heading into a 12-day rest, Windsor is now 2-5-5 on the season and sit in seventh place in the OUA west division.
 
Kristina Brooks made an impressive seven saves on Saturday against the host Warriors. Windsor also registered seven shots on goal but Waterloo's Morgan Berg kept the Lancers off the scoresheet as she earned her sixth shutout of the season.
 
The only goal of the match came right at the start of the second half, when Gabrielle Kim put one behind Brooks in the 46th minute.
 
On Sunday, Brooks was busy again making a season high ten saves in the draw. Kaylea Cunliffe opened the scoring in the 23rd minute to put the Lancers up by one. Windsor held the lead until late in the game when Laurier's Gagan Parhar tied it up with just eight minutes to play.
 
UP NEXT
The Lancers will now break until Friday October 12th when they host the Western Mustangs at 6:00pm at Alumni Field.
