Box Score The Lancer women's hockey team fell 2-1 to the Queen's Gaels Saturday night in Kingston, ON.

The women have dropped three in a row and were looking to get back into the win column. They gave up a couple early goals but fought back. Despite the fight, they were only able to get one between the pipes.

Molly Jenkins made 19 stops on 21 shots while Queen's Makenzy Arsenault making 14 saves on 15 shots.

Neither team managed a shot on goal in the final frame.

Both teams managed a powerplay goal but neither had a good night on the powerplay with the Lancers going 1/4 and the Gaels going 1/3.

GAME FLOW
The Gaels got things going midway through the first period when Queen's Alex Maw beat Jenkins to open the scoring. Then, not even a minute later, Bryce Desa netted another goal on a power play to give the Gaels a 2-0 lead. Luckily, the Lancers got on the board before the period ended, with Meredith Goldhwawk picking up the goal with an assist from
Taylor Conte on a powerplay in the last minute; putting the Lancers down just 2-1 after the first period.

In the second period Jenkins stopped each of the eleven shots sent her way. The blue and gold were stymied on the offensive end though, only managing four shots in the entire period and converting on none of them; keeping the score at 2-1 after 40 minutes of play. The third period was also a scoreless affair as both teams failed to find the net for the second period in a row and the Lancers fell to the Gaels, 2-1.
