GAME FLOW
The Lancers came out strong in the first period, creating chances on offense. Johnathan Reinhart made some good saves early as did Laurier's Olivier Lafreniere, leading to a scoreless first period.

It was the Golden Hawks who broke the ice first in the second period. After four and a half periods without a goal, Ethan Wiseman got the better of Reinhart and put the home team up 1-0. Five minutes later, the Lancers responded with a goal of their own when Erik Olson found twine to tie the game up. Both teams headed into the locker room for the second intermission tied 1-1.

In the third period both teams failed to score again as both goaltenders took center stage and shined in the third period. Both Reinhart and Lafreniere put together fantastic performances to ensure their teams a point in the contest.

After a series of fantastic saves, Kody Gagnon netted the game winner all alone in the offensive end to sweep the weekend against the Golden Hawks, taking the game 2-1 in overtime.
