The Windsor Lancers men's soccer team gave up two second half goals Sunday afternoon in a 2-0 loss to the Guelph Gryphons on the road.

The blue and gold played a solid first half, creating opportunities and playing with pace, but ultimately, the two late goals doomed the Lancers hopes to pull off the road victory. The loss puts the Lancers at 4-3-4 and sitting fourth in the OUA West.

The Lancers started hot, forcing Gryphons' goal keeper Darlington Murasiran to make an early save in the 15th minute. It wouldn't be the last time the Lancers produced a good opportunity, but it was their last shot on net of the half. Despite some chances to take the lead, Windsor was forced to accept a 0-0 draw at halftime.

Despite the strong first 45, it was clear the Gryphons had made adjustments at the start of the second half. The Gryphons drew a yellow card on
Ard Dieker and scored five minutes later in the 61st minute when Mitch Lefebvre beat
Kaneen Fells for the 1-0 lead. Lefebvre beat Fells again in the 78th minute to ensure his side would come away victorious, 2-0.
