The Lancer women's soccer team fell 3-0 to the Guelph Gryphons on Sunday afternoon in Guelph. 

The loss moves the Lancers to 1-8-2 on the season. 

The Lancers gave up chances in bunches early. In the seventh minute, Windsor goaltender Lauren Gellner made her first of six saves on the day, however, shortly after though the Gryphons earned two corner kicks and capitalized on the second as Jaqueline Madogo beat Gellner to put the Gryphons up 1-0 in the 15th minute. In the 30th minute, the Gryphons came on strong again, missing three shots before Vanessa Mazur beat Gellner to double the lead. Mazur scored again in the 43rd minute to pad the lead to three heading into halftime.
 
In the second half Gellner stood on her head, making three saves and making sure not another goal snuck past her goal line. In the 76^th minute, Windsor's Sophia Ferrazzo put a shot on net but Guelph's Brooke Davidson kept it out to keep the Lancers off the board. Davidson's save ended up earning her the clean sheet as her Gryphons went on to take the match 3-0.

Windsor will next host the McMaster Marauders on Friday, October 11th at 6:00pm at Alumni Field. Prior to the game, the Lancers will honour their graduating seniors.
