Windsor went 0-for-4 on the power play, while Western's special teams converted on one of three opportunities.

GAME FLOW
After a scoreless first period, Western's Sean Montgomery put the hosts on the on the board with a power play goal at 8:20 of the second frame.

With both teams playing strong defensively, and the goaltenders turning aside all shots that came their way, the Mustangs held their one goal lead until 10:36 into the third when Alex Friesen scored his his third of the season, unassisted, to tie the game at one and send the game into overtime.

Just two minutes into the extra frame, Brennan Feasey and Ian Parker beat the Western defense and went in alone on Peresinni. A beautiful back and forth between the two converted as Feasey snuck the puck past the right side of the goaltender to give Windsor their third overtime victory in a row.
