After a brief one-year hiatus from OUA competition, the Lancer Curling team returned to the ice this past weekend at the OUA Championships in Kitchener-Waterloo.

Under new head coach
Kyle Paradis, the Blue & Gold showed promise and improvements from their last outing in 2017.

On the women's side, the Lancers returned two athletes to the squad this year in lead
Riley Beach and second
Monica Sokolowski.

Windsor opened the tournament against Carleton and Trent and were narrowly edged by both teams 7-6.

The Lancers lone win of the tournament came on day two when they defeated the Lakehead Thunderwolves 6-5.

The Windsor men's sole holdover from 2017 was vice
Hayes Stoyshin. Stoyshin and the Lancers were challenged right from the start, opening the weekend against the defending OUA champion Brock Badgers. Despite a few close ends, the Lancers were defeated 11-4.

They did get a win under their belt on the final competition when they easily defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues 8-2 on Sunday morning.
