GAME FLOW
Things started slow for the blue and gold as the Warriors seemed to know exactly where on the floor to put the ball. The Lancers fought back to make it close just before the technical, but the Warriors held the lead at the break, up 16-13. The Lancers closed the lead to one but couldn't get even at the last timeout, down 23-20. Unfortunately, that was as close as the Lancers got, dropping the set 25-20 and going down 1-0 in the match.
Â
Things started in similar fashion for the Lancers in the second half but the Blue and Gold responded quickly, tying the set at six. What followed next was a tight game of back and forth with each squad keeping the other close and on their toes into the technical with Windsor up 16-15. Coming out of the technical, separation was still hard to come by as the Lancers tried to keep their slim lead. In the tightly contested set, it was only fitting it went to extra service as both teams battled bitterly hard to take the set. When it was all settled, the Warriors made the plays they needed to, winning 29-27 and taking a commanding 2-0 lead over the Lancers.
Â
The Lancers scored the first points of the third and looked as though they may stave off the sweep early in the set. However, by the technical timeout the visitors were up and had the Lancers in a tough position. Despite a spirited effort Windsor fell 25-22\
