GAME FLOW
The Windsor Lancers got off to a fiery start on Saturday night amidst their hunt for the OUA playoffs. Connor Logan got things going with a beautiful shot from the slot to put the blue and gold up one just seven minutes in.  Shortly after the Badgers earned themselves a two-man penalty and the Lancers capitalized In quick fashion, first Adam Burnett let one rip and beat Badgers goalie Logan Thompson. Almost immediately after, it was Johnathan Tecce lighting the lamp, putting the Lancers up 3-0 early in the game. The Lancers kept the lead through to the first intermission, going into the break up 3-0,

If the second period belonged to anyone, it looked like it belonged to the Badgers as the visitors from St. Catharines got on the board when Frank Pucci finally bested Reinhart three minutes into the second period. Just 85 seconds later it was Adam Berg who beat Reinhart and all of the sudden the Lancers were in a one goal game. Luckily for the Lancers they were able to stop the damage and get to the final intermission clinging to their lead, 3-2.

The third period started slow but the Lancers earned themselves a 5-on-3 powerplay about halfway through the frame. The Badgers penalty kill had one of their best showings, killing both the penalties and keeping the game a one goal affair. Moments later, Windsor found themselves on the penalty kill and the Badgers converted with Ethan Spaxman tipping the game tying goal past Reinhart with under five to go in the game and take it to overtime tied at three.

John Wesley was the beneficiary of a beautiful pass from senior Kyle Hope, Thompson had no chance as the Lancers picked up an emotional win for their seniors and their playoff push,  4-3 in overtime.
