The Windsor Lancers earned two points over the weekend despite not scoring a goal in either of their games. The Lancers first point came on the road against the Waterloo Warriors with a 0-0 tie before they drew another 0-0 score against Western on Sunday at home.

After a scoreless draw vs Waterloo on Friday, the Lancers found themselves stuck in yet another defensive battle against the Western Mustangs on Sunday. The Lancers had a few opportunities in the early going but Western keeper Kody Thompson was up to the task, blanking the Lancers through the first 45 minutes. The Mustangs for their part were kept out of the Lancer zone as both teams battled to break out of midfield.

The second half opened much like the first ended with both teams struggling to produce chances and move the ball. Both the Lancers and the Mustangs passed the ball great but getting the ball up the field proved difficult for both sides. At the end of the day it was the keepers that walked away happy, both earning a clean sheet as their teams took a point in tow, 0-0.
