The Windsor Lancers women's volleyball team completed a perfect weekend in Thunder Bay on Sunday afternoon defeating the Lakehead Thunderwolves 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, and 25-19) and finishing off their weekend road trip 6-0 in sets and 2-0 in matches.
Â
With the pair of wins, the Lancers now improve to 7-6 on the campaign to date and are now currently riding a four-game winning streak heading into next weekend.Â

Lancers veteran setter

Â
GAME FLOW
In the first set, the Lancers were in the driver's seat maintaining control throughout the set and not allowing Lakehead to generate much offence by implementing strong and steady play both offensively and defensively. The consistency of the blue and gold led them to take the first set 25-14.Â
Â
In the second, the Lancers may have taken their foot of the gas a little bit as the Thunderwolves started to show more bark producing more plays from their side of the net and giving the Lancers more of a challenge. However, despite a better effort from Lakehead, the Lancers remained composed and took the second set 25-17 emulating their consistent play used in the first to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Â
In the third set, the Thunderwolves were looking to bite into the Lancers armour of strong play however, despite a valiant effort, Windsor managed to hold on in a noisy CJ Sanders Fieldhouse at Lakehead and close out the Thunderwolves in straight sets again for a second straight day.
