The Lancer women's soccer team traveled up the 401 to take on the Brock Badgers, coming away with a 1-0 victory.  
 
The woman showed up ready to play will take this momentum booster into their second game of the home-and home series against the Badgers on Sunday at Alumni Field.
 
STATS
Windsor's goal scorer was local prospect Elizabeth Elliot with her first career OUA goal.
 
The Lancer offense put in a solid performance with eight shots on net.
 
Lauren Gellner made five saves in net for the blue and gold.
 
GAME FLOW
Brock opened the game by putting numerous shots on goal. Windsor's first scoring opportunity of the game came by way of a penalty shot in the 31st minute. Elliott capitalized on the chance on what would eventually be the winning goal.
 
Gellner made a total of four shots in the first half as the Badgers were able to pick up chances against the Lancers. Thanks to some stellar goalie keeping and great defense, the Lancers were able to keep their lead. The Lancers had more shots on goal in the second half, however, they could not make it a two goal game. The Lancer defense continued to dominated as chances were limited for the Badgers and they couldn't take advantage of their corner kick opportunities.

Windsor will return home for a rematch against the Badgers on Sunday, October 3rd at Alumni Stadium. Kick-off is set for 2:00pm and the game can be seen live at oua.tv.
