The Lancer women's basketball team fell to the Carleton Ravens and Ottawa Gee-Gees in a weekend road trip to the nation's capital over the weekend.

Windsor dropped a 70-64 decision in overtime to the Ravens on Friday, before falling to the Gee-Gees 78-44.

With the losses, the Lancers head into their final weekend of competition before the holiday break with a 3-5 record and sit in fourth in the OUA west division.

FRIDAY
Maggie Denys led the blue and gold with 24 points and three rebounds, while Julia Chiarot contributed 11 points and six rebounds.

Windsor opened up an early 14-6 lead against the Ravens and held on to lead 33-25 at the half. Up 50-40 heading into the final quarter, the Lancers got into a little bit of foul trouble that brought the Ravens to the line and helped them close the gap and send the game into overtime tied at 62.

Overtime save the Ravens take control of the game and break way from the blue and gold to earn the victory.

SATURDAY
Reine Ndome was Windsor's leading scorer with 10 points and seven rebounds, while the hosts were led by Nadine Katumbayi with 16 points.

Ottawa came out strong and took a quick 12-1 lead over Windsor, and lead 43-20 at the half.

Windsor played catch up for the entire second half, and despite a number of scoring opportunities were unable to get themselves back in the game.
