The Lancer women's basketball team capped off the OUA regular season in spectacular fashion with an impressive 85-50 victory over the Algoma Thunderbirds.

The game not only marked the end of the regular season, but also the last time the blue and gold would play in the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse.

Harriet Carey was the Lancers spotlight, putting up 23 points, 15 of which came from behind the three-point line. Julia Chiarot and Reine Ndome each had ten points, while Ndome would also lead the teams with eight rebounds.
 
GAME FLOW
The Lancers were effective from behind the arch in the first quarter as they built a 25-18 lead.
 
Carey was not only hot from behind the arch through the entire first half, but she would also put in some stellar defensive work for the blue and gold. Windsor held the Thunderbirds to just five points in the second quarter and went into the half up, 44-23.
 
Noor Bazzi was on fire for the Lancers in the third quarter, hitting back-to-back threes that helped build on an already large Lancer lead. Windsor continued to lead for the remainder of regulation to take the 85-50 win.

Windsor will now head up to Guelph for the first round of the OUA playoffs on Wednesday, March 16th. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00pm and can be seen live at oua.tv.
