Peterson & Maitre named OUA all-stars

The Windsor Lancers are pleased to announce that two members from the women's hockey team have been recognized by the OUA as the league announced their award winners and all-stars Thursday.

Forward Maggie Peterson and fifth year defenceman Ashley Maitre were both named to the OUA's second all-star team. This is the first time in both of their careers that they have been named a league all-star.

Peterson, a native of Edmonton, AB, played in all 16 games for the Lancers this season, registering 8 points in the process. She finished tied for first in team scoring and helped lead the blue and gold to their most successful season in recent history.

The all-star selection is the cherry on top of a tremendous career for Maitre. The Lancer captain will retire from university hockey playing 112 games for the blue and gold, having not missed a single game through five seasons. She made a tremendous impact on the blue line and finished this year with 7 points in 16 games to lead all Lancer defencemen in scoring.
