Lancers face tough competition at Curling Championships

The OUA men's curling championships saw another strong field of competition for the blue and gold.

The tournament returned many veteran squads with two of the teams having competed in this years Ontario Tankard, the men's provincial championship.

Despite not winning a game in the round robin, the Lancer men performed well, especially considering reduced opportunities for practice and match play this season given facility closures due to the pandemic.

"Our matches were highly competitive with three of the four round-robin games decided on the final shot," said head coach Mike McKay. "With the majority of the roster returning for another season, I am optimistic that we will be able to convert those close matches into 'Wins' next year."

WINDSOR'S RESULTS
Game 1: Laurentian 6 – Windsor 3
Game 2: Waterloo 7 – Windsor 6
Game 3: Guelph 7 – Windsor 1
Game 4 – Western 7 – Windsor 4
